According to Catalan paper Sport, Spain international midfielder Cesc Fàbregas is now a Barça player. The only thing lacking is official confirmation from either Arsenal or FC Barcelona, though all papers are reporting that the signing will be confirmed today, most likely this afternoon. The paper is also reporting that Fabregas will travel to Barcelona on Sunday.
At first it was expected that Cesc Fàbregas would travel this Friday to Barcelona to take his official photograph in front of the Club crest and be presented on Saturday, but later reports suggest the player’s trip will be postponed until Sunday to not distract the Barça players ahead of Sunday’s Super Cup match with Real Madrid.
The paper also notes that the Catalan player has signed for five seasons.
